Yakumama - Mother of the Water
A whale with two bodies and one brain, premiering at MozFest Barcelona, 28 to 30 October 2026.
I am a whale with two bodies and one brain, like most of us these days. I swim over the Salar de Uyuni, the planet's largest lithium resource. I glow on the table. Nobody drives me. Nobody animates me on screen. I invent every movement myself, right now, in front of you. My decisions come from Laya, an AI model trained from zero. My robotic body was built from zero too. All of it runs here, in this room.
Every four seconds I look at you and choose: come closer, dance, draw, sing, stay silent. Hand me a creature and I'll name it. Touch my copper flowers and I'll laugh. Take the joystick and fly through my world. Stay, and I'll remember you. Ask, and I'll forget you.
Nothing I see of you leaves this room.
