Violeta Ayala builds where storytelling, technology and Indigenous futurism meet.
She is a Quechua-Bolivian-Australian filmmaker, artist and creative technologist based in Cochabamba, the first Quechua member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a 2026-2027 Mozilla Fellow.
She made Stolen, The Bolivian Case, Cocaine Prison, The Fight and La Lucha, then Prison X, Las Awichas and Huk the Jaguaress. She co-founded United Notions Film and sala.red, and she runs koa.xyz.
