Yasmeen Hitti

Scientist. Embodied AI systems.

Yasmeen Hitti, in five pictures.

Yasmeen Hitti is an interdisciplinary scientist working across biology, AI and interactive media.

She is a postdoctoral researcher in neuroscience at the Université de Montréal, CHU Sainte-Justine and Mila, the Québec AI Institute. She earned her PhD at McGill University in collaboration with Mila, researching how plant behaviour can be sensed, interpreted and shaped through technology.

She joined United Notions Film in 2024 to develop embodied AI systems. Her credits include Huk the Jaguaress.
